ISO 27001: A Risk Based Approach to Cyber Security

It’s no secret that cyber security risks are on the rise. There is no one statistic that can fully
capture the extent to which these risks affect businesses of all sizes.

According to a recent SAI Global survey, more than 55% of respondents don’t realise that they’re
vulnerable to cyber security attacks. Hackers really have the advantage here – it’s all they do –
attacking every 39 seconds, which is on average, 2,244 times a day.

The ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Standard enables organisations to be aligned with global best-practice for information security management. It offers organisations a robust and practical framework to assist with the improvement of information security, focusing on preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
